Subfolders in flow list

Post by xdauser » 02 Nov 2018 14:29

Any chance to implement the possibility to create subfolders for folders in the flow list, with possibilities to fold/unfold them as required?
For an example:

Flow List
|_Folder 1
|_Subfolder 1
|_Flow 1
|_Flow 2
|_Flow 3
|_Subfolder 2
|_Subfolder 3
|_Folder 2
|_Folder 3

I have found my post. It is from last year, discussing about template : viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7004&p=19288&hilit=Subgroup#p19288

Only 2 levels. If we can add extra level, we can have group - group - flow. Template can be store as one 1st level group, and inside it we can have more 2nd group, and then the real template flow. How about it? I think extra level should be added now. I started to run out of space to keep the whole group in single screen :) even though I have parallel a lot of my one trick pony flow.
But it seems this require to modify the code at the flows.xml too. Automagic store the grouping in the xml too. Adding a new sublevel, require new tag subgroup. I don't know if this require heavy modification to the xml structure or something.

But if this is going to be implemented, I would also request that the function to get the flow names and group names (getFlowNames() getFlowGroupNames()) also expanded as in here : viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7272
So it will return in map with each subgroup and flows with its parameter (AEP, FEP, state, last executed, etc)

Then since the subfoldering will expand to longer list, It will be better to have option in the setting to set to compact view. Compact view will only show the flow name, last executed, 3 dot menu. It will hide the description (or only show first line), trigger, condition, action for the preview. Hence we have shorter scrolling list for the same number of flows.
