So i've been gethering info about the Mi Band 3.
And this guy (CEO Xiaomi) is saying pretty much: "I'm holding our new gaming phone, but that thing on my wrist is NEXT".

Looking at other sources, the Mi band 3's release date is hitting the market 2th quarter 2018 (this quarter)... well i hope it is.
Especially if it's priced at the well known price of around $30 to $35 with the NFC capability it supposedly will have according to various sources.

If so, this tracker will be pretty much unbeatable.

Oh, that's the leak photo. Let's see. I have been using Mi Band 2 for 1,5 years, and so far no problem at all. Except the band got loose and need to be replaced. I ended up glued it back and it is sticking till now :D Would like to see what is the improvement in Mi Band 3.

But we don't know yet the spec, need to wait for the launch. I think it still won't have NFC yet. :(

Yet multiple sources, and any news that i have seen about it, reported the feature of nfc. Even GPS.
It would make so much sense these days.

...but as you said. I guess we'll see Thursday :(

So there it is. Pretty insane specs for the price ($26 before export taxes):

I don't have one yet, so most likely i'll buy one when it arrives here.

Be careful, I read there are 2 variants, one without NFC and the other with NFC. You certainly want to get the NFC one (more expensive).
My Mi Band 2 is still working great. I will wait later when Automagic already have the integration to it (or someone make a standalone, no background-running plugin for it).

Yes there are indeed 2 versions. The one that's prices as $26 priced is the one with NFC capability.
I also noticed the mi band 2 is in full sale here in the netherlands... what the... :?
There's only good reasons to wait for mi band 3 i suppose since everything from releasedate, to Automagic catching up, to even my profile system itself.
