Hey mbirth!
Thanks for taking out time to reply to the post and sharing your thought(s)/experience.
I would like to tell you that I am aware of the app you mentioned i.e. TypeMachine and even I love that app since, for me, it's one of the indispensables. However, I'd also admit that I love creating flow(s) on Automagic even if the objective of the flow is such that other apps available out there already cater to that objective. Moreover, instead of cluttering my phone with loads and loads of apps, I personally feel that this immensely useful and indispensable little beast of an app called Automagic serves as an "all-in-one" utility and thereby the burden of carrying so many installed apps on my smartphone all the time is minimized.

Thanks
Akhilesh

Hey Martin!
Finally made a text-logging flow. I am uploading the flow here.
Please check it out and let me know of any improvements/suggestions/fixes that you might feel will improve the flow.

Thanks
Akhilesh

* is a wildcard or glob pattern character that matches any text respectively all package names so the trigger will be executed for all text changed events no matter what package it's coming from.

It's difficult to work with getevent. Search the forum to get some examples. I would try to use trigger UI Event first.

Hey Martin
I read the help page of the trigger "UI Event". There, under the heading "Package Name", it has been mentioned that Glob patterns (*,?) are supported.
Since you've already educated me as regards the Glob pattern character/wildcard "*", therefore, I'd like you to kindly tell me what purpose does "?" serve?

Thanks
Akhilesh

Hi,

The ? matches one character. For example pattern 12? matches 12a, 123 but not 12

Martin
