New Automagic user switched from another similar tool.

Apart from the (very common) auto WiFi / phone silence, I use it for notifying me when I'm on the train and should get off on next station.

Is it possible to have it check for both wifi connected and wifi disconnected in the same flow? For example, in Tasker you can do that with an exit task that runs.

The basic concepts in Tasker and Automagic are different. You could either create two flows, one executes an action when wifi connects, the second flow could execute an action when wifi disconnects. You could also merge both flows by adding the connected and disconnected triggers to the same flow but then you have to add a condition to decide within the flow if it was the connected or the disconnected case and execute the appropriate action. I tend to recommend to keep flows small and simple and to move both flows to the same flow group.

Martin

Ich nutze Automagic z.Zt. für:

1.) Bewegungserkennung im Raum mittels App Motion Detector
-> Daydream aktiv + Bewegung erkannt -> Display aktivieren -> Kalender starten
-> wenn nach x Minuten keine Bewegung erkannt wird UND die Radio-App noch läuft, wird das Radio ausgeschaltet.
(Leider habe ich dafür nur die Variante "Neustart" gefunden)

2.) SmartHome (Heizung), Timer bei geöffnetem Fenster starten + anzeigen
-> Textmeldung: Fenster offen -> Display anschalten -> Timer starten -> Timer im Homescreen anzeigen

Sorry, but my english isnt good to write a text, only used for reading a text.

By the way: I wish you a happy New Year!

Hi

Backup files to Dropbox.

NFC tag on alarm clock to silence ringer etc.

Speed alert @ 80mph (UK limit is 70mph)

Bus time checker for a particular bus and bus stop

Caller name announcement

Car settings when bluetooth connects/disconnects

Show latest image from London traffic cameras based on location

Dashcam every 5 seconds

Voice automation for Anki flashcard app

I learned a lot from these and thank Martin & his team for a great app.

Many thanks

I'm not sure how to share flows.

I use a Periodic Timer Inexact set for 1 day as the trigger.
I have a couple of conditions to stop it running when connected to car bluetooth and if battery is below 50%
Then use Dropbox Upload Files for folders or Dropbox Upload File for individual files.
With individual files you can add the trigger time to the file name.

Note this doesn't back-up the phone just files and folders.

Good luck

Micky

My streams rely heavily on the geofence google, I flows that are activated when they are at home and at work and at the same time turn off others that I use when I'm around.
- Control of the periodic wifi when I'm at home with my choice of home line (I vodafone community), with the choice of my dsl, when connected the flow is turned off and back on when I get disconnected.
- Deactivation of the previous flow when they are walking around with finding free hotspots when I open any app, if I do not dsl available wifi closes.
-Activation Disabling flow regulating ring, and create shortcuts to activate the bluetooth to connect to the speakerphone always based on my position; I created about 60 geofence with a radius of about 500 meters in order to be activated alone when I move with the car .... (all the places you usually frequent are included).
- Flow that when a call makes me from the shortcut that triggers me the search for the bluetooth if you still are not connected to the speakerphone.
