File observer recursively

Hi,
Is it possible to make File observer work recursively? I guess I should have a trigger for every subfolder/subfile in a folder, to trace any change in its contents.
Otherwise, might that feature be implemented?
I want to trace when a file is opened or closed, inside any level of a folder tree. I'm somewhat noob at Automagic, and I cannot guess how to do that.
