[BUG] Hardware Buttons failed execution [NEEDS TESTERS]

Post by Yam » 28 Dec 2019 05:26

Hi there!

THIS MAY NEED TO BE TESTED ON OTHER DEVICES.

Samsung s9+ | Pie 9 | one.ui 1.0

NEW:
Flows with hardware button trigger, does not execute when shared by forums.

I've attached a flow. Hope it helps.

Somehow, your flow won't triggered by my volume up/down button. Have restart automagic, disable/enable the flow and still doesn't react. Can't test it now, I am still investigating. Meanwhile, it seems you need something like multi press pattern. Maybe take a look at my other flow : viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7830

I just downloaded it to see what was happening. I too cannot use the flow. Very strange.

i can copy and paste the elements from one to another and it works. Still contains the down button issue.

however, with the use of your flow. I have tackled the bug this post was initially about.

instead I'll update this post

Somehow I restart my phone today because of weekly TWRP backup. Your flow is working now, because I left it enabled and forgot it. Suddenly I get error from your flow when adjusting volume button. Then I tried just now, deleting your old flow and reimport your new one. Now it doesn't work again. Stopping Automagic or toggling accessibility can't fix it. It seems Hardware key event trigger flow must be imported prior, and the device must be restarted first to let automagic hook the event to the system. This may explain why some user found that the trigger doesn't work.

The way to reproduce the problem (AM 1.37) :
1. Import the flow above.
2. Enable the flow
3. Press vol up and vol down, doesn't trigger the flow, doesn't produce any log
4. Restart the device
5. Flow now working properly.

Same here.. Except, I had to reboot my phone; Stopping Automagic & restarting the service isn't enough,...
