Triggers and conditions confusion

Post by Wibbly » 17 Mar 2014 09:10

Hi

I'm still unclear when I should be using one or the other as there are many that seem to be very similar, right? (Say, why not use conditions only?)

I'm coming from Llama - which only has conditions...

To my understanding ;
If you use the trigger (and your flow is enabled), the flow will execute when that action (or whatever) is happening.
If you leave the trigger empty and put the same type of evaluation of an action in a condition box below the empty trigger box in a flow, this flow won't execute automatically, even if it is enabled, when the same situation occurs, since it is not triggered to execute . So you have the choice of how, when and where you want to trigger it from another flow . You will be able to reuse it in many different situations as a sub flow.
This gives you more freedom and control, I think. You can connect a whole bunch of flows to one another.
