IR blaster signal

Hello,
I try to realize the following for weeks already, but it won't work: I want my LG G3 to send an infrared signal everytime my alarm rings, so that my radio turns on. I did not find a possibility to send a specific signal by executing commands, so I tried to implement it using UI actions. Now I have the problem, that I use a quick cover, which means, that the display shows a clock when turned on by automagic. As a result, UI actions cannot be performed unless I open the cover manually, but this is quite inconvenient. Any suggestions how to overcome this hurdle?
