I am hoping for a trigger that detects when the device make use of its speech.
I am guessing that this is possible, because there are several software that seem to do just that. For example, when I have a GPS and music on, whenever GPS talks, the music can either be suspended or faded to back.
One application that I can think of would be in GPS. I can have my screen dark to save the battery, except when the GPS talks, the screen can be brightened temporary. Actually, my old phone with cyanogenmod used to do this automatically, but my new phone doesn't.
