Re: Granting permission to AutoMagic

Your build is N6F26Q. Mine is NMF26F . Oddly enough I found this in the site : Nexus 5X binaries for Android 7.1.1 ( NMF26F ) My phone is a Nexus 6P. This add more questions than answers. Does this mean Nexus 5 binaries are "interchangeable" with 6P? I don't believe so. Just to be clear: That is th...

Re: Reduced support for a few weeks

Congrats from me, too. We have 2 daughters (much older than yours :-)) and they are the lights of our lives. Have fun.

Re: Granting permission to AutoMagic

On my rooted Nexus 6 I can use Automagic to stop any app that I've tried (so far), so maybe just try to root your phone? I have used Wugfresh's Nexus Root Toolkit (NRT) for several years to flash my phones (Galaxy Nexus, then Nexus 6). Last week, I used it to update my rooted N6 from 7.0.0 (NBD91U) ...

Re: Custom widget not "clickable".....

Many thanks for the quick & helpful reply, Martin. I've done as you suggested. I replaced the on-screen notification with: Show custom widget overlay (clickable) Sleep for 4 secs Hide the overlay Continue with the flow and I set the custom widget's clickable action to Stop flow. There was a slight p...

Custom widget not "clickable".....

I have a flow that, when enabled, checks for a specific WiFi SSID every 15 seconds or so, and stops when connected. I've set it up so that every 15 seconds, it uses the action "Notification on Screen" to display a large on-screen notification (preferable to a status bar icon, because it's much easie...

Re: Widget with Dialog

Not sure why, because before posting, I made the flow & widget - and it works perfectly for me. Tap the widget - the flow starts - input dialog opens - I enter a value (say, 0), tap OK - the widget shows 0 and 32. Screenshot below (I made no attempt to make the widget pretty - just functional). http...

Re: Widget with Dialog

In my post, I described two methods. #1 used global variables. #2 suggested using SetWidgetElementProperty. You seem to be using global variables (method #1) together with the function getwidgetelementproperty (i.e., the GET function, not the SET function that I suggested in #2). I haven't used the ...

Re: Widget with Dialog

I think there are 2 ways to do what you want. I've used only #2 below, so #1 is (for me) untested; if what I say is incorrect, I hope someone else will chime in .... 1. In order for the widget to be able to "see" the variables, you need to make them global ;, so, for example, name them global_value ...

Re: Add notes to a flow

Adding my +1 to this. I've used Automagic for a while now, so some of my early flows were constructed quite some time ago - and when I look at them today, it's not always immediately clear to me why I set them up as I did. I sometimes have to open up the actions / conditions, one by one, to "redisco...

Re: How to link a trigger to another trigger

Create a new flow. The Trigger box automatically appears, as an empty oblong. Tap that box, and two "popups" appear: above the box is a menu (to select the desired trigger) and below the box is a + sign (to allow you to continue the flow by adding an action or a condition). Tap the top menu box. Tha...
