Have you tried using the Action Show Home Screen?

I use Nova Launcher with 8 or 9 different Home screens, and I successfully use this Action to select a particular one within my flows.

I've been through all the options for System Setting Changed, and unfortunately I can't find any setting that relates to casting (or "Smart View").

I'd still love to be able to automatically configure my phone based on whether I'm casting, so my feature request stands.

Unfortunately nothing seems to show on the Status Bar (even though there is a message added to the Notification list).
