Re: Why does a trigger by Cell ID need location sensors?
It wasn't like that before. It seems that Google changed what the location permission does in Android 9 and if it's not enabled, it doesn't allow many things that didn't need this to be activated in Oreo, like GSM cells detection, WiFi SSID info to other apps, between other. It's not impossible to d...

Detect when apps are manually removed from memory
Hi, posting here again, as I couldn't find the answer to this searching around in the forum. As I mentioned in the previous topic I made, I recently upgraded from Android 8 to 9. In the previous version, I found out that everytime I removed an app from the multitask, an Announcement was made by the ...

Also works perfectly! It's good to know there are several ways to do it. Nice to know some improvements are coming, thanks!

Re: Open Developer options in Android P
Tried using that, works just fine. I don't know why the strange issue, maybe Automagic conflicting with some security measure added in this version by some method it uses? Not really sure, but thanks for the tip! I will surely try that out if I have a similar issue.

Open Developer options in Android P
Hi, I recently received and installed LineageOS 16 for my device, and by so also upgraded from Android 8.1 to 9. As almost no known issues with this newer Android with Automagic were reported (and the ones that existed were easy to handle with), I didn't see anything that held me to upgrade. So I've...

Re: Speech output for notification
Have you tried with other variables named in the help? Also remember to use the debug dialog condition I mentioned to see which variables have content and the one you need, just connect that condition in between the trigger and the action.

Re: Speech output for notification
Just replace the trigger with Notification on Statusbar Displayed to detect notifications from Messenger and change variables you use as you need with the ones detailed in the trigger help (you can access it going to the ? icon when editing it), most probably notification_text or title . You might a...

Re: Create a global variable from script editor
If you mean to create a global variable from any script action that you use, you can do so as you would create a normal variable, as the only thing that makes a variable, global, is that it needs to start with global_ . So if you want to create a global variable in a script, you can do something lik...

Re: Known Issues on Android Q
No more launching apps or activities? That's unacceptable from Google. Ok, limit some info known about calls to other apps. Allright, limit access to the clipboard, that's something useful, but not a dealbreaker for me. But launching apps and even Input Dialog gets broken? They're going off hand. It...

Re: LED smart-bulb apps?
Open it again (twice, consecutively). The second time, you'll be able to configure stuff and save the plugin's settings in AM. It's just how the plugin acts, normally (at least on any of my phones). The discussion refers to the LAN control of the bulb (how to do it). Using the dedicated app (or the...
